Hi! I’m Thomas Groves, a podcaster, blogger and college student . <\/p>\n

I genuinely can’t remember a time when I wasn’t obsessed with motorsport, having grown up with F1 and the British Touring Car Championship. My early years were spent consuming as much as I could, watching the races, reading the books\n and playing the videogames. <\/p>\n

As I grew older, I began to understand the significance of its history, and the 2020 pandemic gave me the perfect opportunity to uncover it for myself.<\/p>\n

There was however a problem: I was the only person I knew who was remotely interested in this stuff. I couldn’t just let this treasure trove stay out of public knowledge, especially with the ever growing popularity of F1.<\/p>\n

So, in 2024 I decided to create a podcast that was both easy to access and understand to give the history of motorsport a proper platform. Since the first upload in march of that year, I’ve covered everything from legendary NASCAR\n driver Dale Earnhardt to Birmingham’s very own Superprix.<\/p>\n

And at the start of 2025 I decided the best way to grow Motornerd was giving it a proper website. Here, you’ll find links to my podcast, instagram account and blog, focusing on the the ever changing world of modern motorsport.<\/p>\n

But the core values of Motornerd remain:<\/p>\n

Whether you’ve ended up here by accident, need to kill some time in your lunch break or just want to indulge in what you love, I hope you enjoy this site.<\/p>\n
