It’s what everyone’s been waiting for! The 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship begins at the Losail International Circuit for no less than 10 hours of epic racing. And as always, I’m here to take you through it all!
The battles for LMGT3 and Hypercar still raged on until the pit stops. Magnussen was first to pit in his BMW alongside Peugeot’s young star and fellow Dane Malthe Jakobsen in the #94 car. Alessandro Pier Guidi pitted with smoking tires as he slammed on the brakes, despite the #51 car having been penalised twice for speeding in the pitlane. He served his outstanding 10 second stop and go penalty before leaving. Meanwhile Julien Andlauer had stormed through the pack to reach the top 5 in the #5 Porsche.
After the pitstops, there’s very little change to the order: It’s still Ferrari with a 1-2, #50 from #83 while BMW’s #20 is now running third ahead of the Toyota of Mike Conway. In LMGT3 it’s now the #78 Lexus leading ahead of TF Sport’s #33 and Simon Mann’s #21 AF Corse.
There’s just two hours left to go – how will this epic race conclude? We’re about to find out.
